Touch-ups are the jobs that make a house look looked-after: a door that has been kicked for ten years, the patch where a TV bracket used to be, the hairline crack over the bedroom door. Too small for a decorator, too fiddly for a Saturday.
How we leave a wall
We fill, let it dry, sand it flush and spot-prime it, so the patch does not show through as a dull square under the top coat. Then we paint the whole wall corner to corner, not just the patch. That is the only way a repair disappears.
Doors and woodwork
Doors get a light sand, a wipe down and two coats, cut in by hand. We take the handles off rather than painting round them. If you are moving out of a rented home, ask about our end-of-tenancy touch-up list: we work through it room by room in a single day.

Questions about painting and touch-ups
- Do you paint whole rooms?
- Not usually. We paint the bits that are too small for a decorator to quote for, like a door, a hallway's woodwork, a patched wall. For a whole room or a house, we will happily recommend someone.
- Can you match my wall colour?
- If you have the tin or the name, yes. If not, we can cut a small sample from behind a radiator or switch plate and have it matched.
